Member
if we can get TM to also sponsor the BMW team, expresso comes compliments from the management… that’ll help fire ’em up…!!! XD
lol. yeah, the espresso would perk them up. but they’d have to do a lot more to match kimi. even without his johnnie walker, kimi is incredibly perky in the car.
TheFazz
Memberthe thing is kimi is so freakishly fast. i hope he sleeps at the wheel a lot more. oh i wish the bmw drivers are a little more fired up. i wish jacques was still with the team.

Member
In real life, kimi only knows how to party. Come on guys, the first two rounds of championship are only part of the testing ground & reliabitity. The real battle will be in europe!
only knows how to party? whoa. a bit harsh there aren’t we? the guy’s an excellent racer. a little over the edge, but still damn fast. but you are right about melbourne and sepang being an extended winter test… the real form book will be revealed in europe.

Member
like I told you guys, it’ll be an Alonso/Hamilton year in 2007! And trust “Launchpad” DC to provide some excitement in the latter stages!
Disclaimer: The above comments reflect saa73’s personal opinions, and not the corporation he works for…and Mikko, do you understand what Kimi says in post-race interviews??? I know a few Finns (family friends and at work) and they speak perfect English…what’s up with this Kimi dude??
kimi is a great character off the track. not your corporate type. but at post race PCs he is odd. but great fun anyway.
but damn, is he fast.

Member
well, no doubt kimi is the man! :-D
well done kimi.
strong race by hamilton & rosberg. alonso shows his thinking side, and why he is two times champion… although hamilton’s speed (and dennis’ support) may start to worry him. that will be alonso’s real test.
the bimmers look ok… still wished that they were higher up. not sure whether the heidfeld and kubica pairing is the best at the moment. bmw will need somebody with that extra spark.
massa – shame about the problems in qualifying. can’t judge anything yet.
renault and kovalainen both a disappointment. and the less said about honda the better. but what was with DC’s move? at least he is man even to admit culpability. webber… strong in qualifying, but where is he in the race?

Member
Neither are exactly inexperienced at racing wheel-to-wheel at the front (particularly Hamilton) so I’m not expecting them to cause trouble. If anyone is to cause ‘interesting’ moments I’d put my money on Sato or Ralf. :)
bro – what do you have against ralf? as for sato… well, i always expect exciting stuff from him. 🙂

Memberround 1 – aussie gp
Looks like Kimi & Ferrari are in good form for the 2007 championship challenge.
Melbourne qualifying sees Kimi on pole with Alonso second and Heidfeld third. Nice to see BMW up there. 🙂

Member
nah kimi breaking cars is bollocks… he had engines exploding that hadn’t even done 1 fast lap. F1 cars are supposed to be built to last a race distance driven at 100%. Rear wings flying off and steering wheels coming off aren’t the result of a driver pushing too hard. The Mclaren was breaking when Mika was driving it, it was breaking when Coulthard was driving it… Kimi didn’t make the car suddenly fall apart.
agree that McLaren had not been building reliable cars in recent years.
kimi has had more than his fair share of car failures compared to his teammates at McLaren (see below stats). It’s a close call, but in some years Kimi is extremely unreliable.
Retirements
2002:
Kimi = 10 (24pts/6th)
DC = 4 (41/5)2003:
Kimi = 3 (91/2)
DC = 5 (51/7)2004:
Kimi = 8 (45/7)
DC = 4 (24/10)2005:
Kimi = 2 (112/2)
JPM = 4 (60/4)2006:
Kimi = 6 (65/5)
JPM = 5 (26/8)* left F1 after 10 races
PDLR = 2 (19/11) * replaced JPM from race 11Total Kimi retirements at McLaren = 29
Teammate retirements = 24#source: wikipedia.

Member
It should run 30 minutes of drivers of 2. Perhaps if we can run 40 minutes if the top ups are not so great within reasonable range of majority.
Weight retain the same as per driver 65kg above or 70kg above? that makes 130kg or 140kg per team. Principal has the freedom to interchange driver for the next race event not during the event.
Team Principal has unlimitted call for pit-in at anytime, there will no pitting windows required and refueling is not mandated. Team principal has the right to apply team order with strategy.
thanks luen for driving this. i think this is an acceptable solution. as for the weights… minimum male = 67.5kg and minimum female = 57.5kg.
