Member
Maybe we could split into 2 separate events.. do it twice a month instead of once. Mykart needs more volunteers to help out..
Memberfeedback needed
the latest round 3 participation for K3 is now touching 55 drivers! K2 seems low still – but i would expect that this too will grow once the K3 participants graduate.
now. all this is happening without any form of promotion, advertising etc. purely word of mouth. once we launch, i would expect that the numbers would be even higher. so how should we go about managing a 60+, ~80 driver participation for K3?
what we’ve talked about turnaround times etc is going to be insufficient for a large group. so i would like to start some ideas coming in to manage this potentially large group going forward. any thoughts??

…thats correct. Shall we give the discount beginning Rd 3?…need the committee’s concensus.
i thought if the member registers BEFORE 31 March 2007, they will be entitled to RM10 discounts on the round 1 – round 3 fees. azlan perhaps can clarify.

Note that drivers whose kart is brought in from outside must provide their own mechanicQuestion 1 : what about discounts for club members…?
Folks, please amend or add further notes where necessary
I am agreeable to all the above. I only thought that the RM100 race fee is only to my-KART members? non-members based on normal walk in rates?

Member
faster turnaround suggestions
-assign k3 karts before the briefing start (kart no. would normally follow the grid order right fazz?)
-ignore late participants (drivers shouldnt be more than 5 minutes to prepare themselves. PENALTY: start back of the grid)
can do for both.

Member
Fazz, Aaron n Dad would like to meet up and discuss so a meeting is requested. Of course, we can have other senior members joining in too….but it will have to be after next week – after 6th March cos I am travelling.
Jules, i am always happy to discuss further about this with Richard and Aaron. Also, will need you and a few other my-kart core members to join in.

Member
i think those over 21 with family/parents interestd in joining my-kart are probably in the minority (sorry Naza!), and should be managed on an exception basis…most in this age range would probably join on their own…
administratively, I’d like to avoid managing exceptions and seeking proof of studying. hence my suggestion for 23 – high probability of being employed.

Member
Easy, fill up the form (download from website). Get your dad’s signature if you are below 18 yrs and bring two passport size photos, RM10 for registration and RM120 for a year club fee.
membership form: http://club.my-kart.org/node/855
or simply search for “registration form” (with quotes).

Memberyazid – my responses:
a. fee for each supplementary member: administrative. we need to prepare a separate ID card for each member.
b. 23 yo age cut off: reason for this is the simplify process of having to prove person is studying. we shall take it as given until age 23 (or perhaps slightly lower at 21 or 22?).

Memberwaah.. blue damn sweet. i want… but RM1k you say?

Member
”nani-kore!!”….. apa la mamat tu leading for more than five laps..lepas tu spun..pressure kut……fail!! 😉 reverse psycology ni.. b4 others commented.. hehehe
Anyway, thanks bro for the “memorable” moment for me!:P I was hoping tat uve ran out of tape for tat final round! hehehe
oik? i didn’t see any of the leaders spin?
the K3 final was brilliant as well. the fight for p2 to p11 was very close initially for a few laps. everybody seemed to behave themselves.
ah. the only thing we need now for our videos (thanks yazid) is Murray Walker and Martin Brundle and some on screen captions to tell who is who. or is it my sight that is going?
