please help plan the 2012 calendar together.
I need help on the calendars for the following events:
- MSS – Malaysian Super Series
- Super GT
- MME
- Sepang 1000km
- Any karting events at Citykarting
to all mykarters:
i will need your assistance to plan the 2012 my-kart calendar encompassing the mainstay DRIVERS series and any other one off events.

tim – no we have not produced the draft 2012 calendar yet. but will soon do so. we normally wait for the official national calendar is announced (with public holiday dates, school break dates etc), and we also wait for the motorsports calendars to be announced (e.g. F1, MotoGP, sepang races etc).
but, chances are the first round is likely to be on the 7th Jan 2012.

sorry, i missed this.
yes, i took a test drive on this kart. only 3 laps. not sufficient to form a proper opinion. immediate impressions is that it is heavier than the normal 100cc yamaha. has good speed though. it doesn’t feel as nimble as the lighter 2-stroke karts. it has a bit more inertia particularly in corners, so you have to be smoother and more precise here.

@lovef1 – first of all, welcome to my-kart.
we hope that you find this site / group / club useful for your racing interests.
the first thing to find out is what are your ambitions / plans in relation to karting. this is important as karting is not a cheap hobby.
as a start, you should join one or a few of our races. there you can meet with some of the members and have a feel of karting in a (albeit entry level) competition.

if not, then i will confirm a return back to Shah Alam for the DRIVERS series Round 09.

the weekend of the 1st and 2nd is not available. round 10 will be on Sunday 9th October.

i believe most would share the concerns about the technical support in Sepang: the mechanics there are a lot less experience, less supportive, lack of supervision.
this has resulted in a number of technical problems especially with the K1 category. a number of engines have seized already. and the K3 4-stroke karts also are starting to deteriorate.
i will block the time for the next round in shah alam, but the date will be on Sunday 11 Sept 2011 instead. please i would suggest that drivers confirm both dates whilst we confirm the actual slot with CK.
