Not sure if that made any sense… :)
you lost me there, man. 🙂

what i meant for turn 10: it is a longish right hand 180 degree turn.

on your diagram, it would indicate that the line would be a tight line from entry to exit.

however, i felt that the faster line would be a slightly deep entry, with a slightly late apex and almost clipping the curb placed near the exit. almost like the line for turn 12 before the main start/finish, but the approach would be similar to turn 7 to try and get maximum speed into 10.

I think you are refering to the loop corner…..not Turn 10 here. In which case, overtaking on the outside is possible….
yes, the loop corner. i only slotted in the overtaking round the outside in response to mizi’s comment about some guys are still able to overtake round the outside no matter how you defend your line.
Are we talking abt the turn closest to the paddock building….named Turn 10 here?
yes.
overtaking on the outside? never seen that before cos the outside is typically dirty and u be very slow accelerating out.
no. they two guys took me out on the long curve before the first hairpin. i was struggling with grip so lifted long enough on entry for them to pounce on me round the outside. buggers! 🙂
Turn 10 is taken cleanly & neutral…..and yes you know u nail it when ur exit is rite on the rumble strips….without going on it.
yup.
hmmm..for me fazz…i would take the later apex like u mentioned there but if i have some1 like razak behind me who is ready to out brake me,i rather clip the first apex to shut my racing line….kinda a defensive line i would say. no doubt by taking a later apex and your exit line pointing straighter u could get a faster exit speed and less kart movement aka smoothness ..true ??
yes agreed. i myself have used the tighter defensive line a few times… but often results in me being slower i think. that said, for the life of me i tried defending against the likes of nazri ng and nizam – but they simply drove around me on the outside! bah.

great guide. i note that turn 10 is taken quite close to the inner curbs – on occassion, i find it faster to run slightly deep and then take a late apex on the way to exit. views?
A choice of either polo shirt or a pit shirt with the existing my-kart logo would be nice..Have em’ in assorted colours say white, black, green(any shade),red, orange or yellow..have em also in 3 sizes S,M and XL… sure heboh one!

stickers have it bumper style’…. can tempek on the helmet..

    water tumbler anyone?

    lighter cricket my-kart ke….??hahahah
i have specified that the T-shirts should be of good quality – something you’d like to wear regularly and also something that non-members would like as well. so i suggested using dry-fit type material. the collar is with a short neck strip (perhaps 1 inch) and perhaps a short front collar zip / button. colours using my-kart colours:

    + ferrari / marlboro / vodafone red
    + ireland rugby green
    + holland orange
    + malaysia yellow
+ BMW white (he he he)
    + all blacks

should come in men (loose) / ladies (fit) cut.
Correct me if I’m wrong, once the membership drive is up, only the paid members will benefit on this offer as only the paid members will get the membership card.
yes. main concern for the likes of citykarting in renting such karts out is credibility of the walk in customer.

my-kart has had a long history with citykarting, kartquest and the likes. my-kart has built a credible reputation as being passionate and professional organisation. we are consistent in our event operations. our members also carry the reputation of being safe, competent and rational drivers. my-kart also has a member base that the likes of citykarting cannot ignore: working adults (professionals, executives, managers and businessmen) who have children / connections / network of acquaitances.

membership benefits is a win win for all. my-KART members carrying the membership card carries with them the my-KART brand and credibility. Circuit operators renting karts to my-KART cardholders know that the person is not going to trash their equipment – and at the same time, allows the operators to bring out equipment which are underutilised.
Folks, let us gauge the enthusiasm level for our kids or your friend’s kids to start karting before we surprise the daylights out of AP!…. Even though my kids dont fit no more into cadet class karts, I still do have many friends that have kids that does…hehehe! If you dont mind the list could possibly start as follows:

    1. Fazz’s (at least one qualified – I saw)
my sons were both definitely keen on karting. the big brother has a little bit more confidence. Little bro’s problem was that he was sitting rather low in the kart. not sure how far he could see from above the steering wheel. elder sister -who turns 13 this year- a bit lukewarm but was visibly happy with the experience. they made a friend on the track the other day and were happily sharing the experience – i think with more friends their age… they would find it more interesting.
looks like we’ll need to set up sub-committees to look into the various activities associated with the club, and member volunteers to head each sub-committee.

Of course, the “Makan” (incl TT) sub-committee lead position is already filled…heh heh…but looking for volunteers to join my sub-committee…I’m thinking Ed’s a potential candidate….and maybe Ramsey too (this guy can sure eat, esp after midnight!) ;-)
yes – i was supposed to put up an org chart for the my-KART committee. i posted some thoughts & comments on my 2006 review thread.
