Member
Bad results calls for drastic action… maybe it’s time to consider joining the ‘winter testing’ bandwagon… :D
bro… great personal report. you guys are excellent reporters! as for drastic action: get yourself a race suit. at least if you suck, you suck in style. he he he.
but seriously, you can always ask the other guys on tips, and I am sure many will volunteer it willingly. if that fails, we can also arrange for Wai Leong or somebody to conduct a coaching session. Unfortunately, Wai Leong will only want to do this on Friday afternoon / evening.

MemberThanks bro – great to see an account of the races from the point of view of other drivers! Certainly, I have a feeling that 2006 is going to be one tough year. Those guys from K3 are going to be very quick. I had my own big moment during Q2, but I will save that for my blog. *wink*
Other drivers, pls give your account of the races as well.

Member
great! hope they can make this successfully!
Just one note on the Yamaha engine. This engine is very popular and raced widely esp in Australia for the last 15years.
I never understood why it did not catch on here but maybe the fact that the spares were controlled by Mofaz could mean something…..
The clutch assembly cost >RM1000…….which is consistent with the fact why Elite 100cc karts have no clutch and why CityKarting went PRD.
If Rosedi has direct import rights for the engine spares – this will go far….
Do you think spares will still be a problem? Would Rosedi have the rights to do so?

Member
Folks,
Check this out (open the attachment). This package is ready to run and cost below 10k. Available at Zentrum ,Subang Jaya.
Cool… 100cc 2-stroke Yamaha at under RM9k. Sounds good. Do you know if this is locally assembled?

MemberI am no expert, but what I can say is if one chassis is good for me, it does not mean that it is good for you. It boils down to driving style, IMHO. But perhaps Jules and other sifoos can help here?

Member
Have not heard of any major foundation or charity for kids like Amnesty or something. Most kids homes I have worked with or heard of are related to religious groups and self funded, they are usually private and run on a pretty small scale unless its the Ronald McDonalds’ Foundation. I guess we wouldnt want any of those?
Angeline, I was just thinking about the Ronald McDonalds’ Foundation… have you worked with them before? Perhaps you can arrange a meeting with them to discuss a few things. I am beginning to think that the Ronald McDonalds’ Foundation could be a good partner for my-KART under the “Racing for the Children” banner. They are everywhere and provides my-KART with a wider channel to reach out to more people. Can we set a meeting date (say) by end of Nov?
