Jules / OSF – in what way was the idea for a rev limiter not well received? What would the additional cost be? Ultimately the question is whether the made in Shah Alam shifter kart is intended for re-sale (niche users) or for rental purposes. If the former, then of course the onus is on the owner to ensure no over-revving. But is the latter, I think it is prudent to install the limiter to avoid having to re-build every other time. What is the cost of the limiter and what is the cost of the re-build?

Gosh it is looking like a tough start for Loeb (only one strong driver for Citroen). Far too many car problems in the last 3 rallies.

I don’t imagine that it would have been the most natural thing to do. Hey Jules sorry, could not try out the shifter kart on Saturday… but perhaps you can give some tips to avoid anybody from breaking the ‘box?

I will need a few volunteers to become the protem members to form the club. Will discuss further when I return from Singapore.

Need to explore this further. Any downsides to further expansion? Profit and investment decisions would be difficult in a club structure, I believe.

And I personally think City-Karting is out of the question too.[/quote]The amateur league is the key. This is where dreams begin. And for those not serious in pursuing a racing career, it is relaxed and fun enough for them. I see this:
fun amateur league (K3 & K2) –>> serious amateur league (K1) –>> 125cc karting (existing 125 series) –>> beyond.
I think establishing the existing amateur league is the first step. As for sponsors, I agree that this is not so easy. Even for those who’ve been in the sports for years, still struggle. So, we need a strategy to address this issue. Linking up with some big names would help.
