But it is more incredible if it is done by some low tech inner city folks.
what if one team gets a crap kart? and if another gets a super fast one?
4 hours will become a chore if there’s nothing the team can do to improve their positions.

Dimples… I don’t think email harvesters would pick up email addresses posted here because all of the text, layouts and stuff you see on screen are all generated by the “index.php” script and extracted from the mySQL database. Well at least that is my understanding, unless some IT expert on this forum would correct me.

Agreed about the fees. Preparation is key. But sometimes no matter what we do, “hantu” karts always find their way on the grid.

I am first to say that I am very unhappy with the incident that injured Brian’s ribs. I spoke to Brian F about this a few days after the incident (when he returned from Singapore). I was concerned that he left without even competing in the last race.
This is precisely why I emphasise safety so much in myKART events. I get angry when people think that karting is child’s play and adopt a cavalier attitude when on the track.
It is all about respecting the kart, your opponent and the track… ALWAYS. You can still be aggressive and race fair and give the other drivers sufficient space.
Anyway – I do not want you or any others to be turned off from karting. When done right (it is all in the mind and attitude), karting can be exhilirating fun. The key is changing people’s mindsets: in karts, there are no bumpers, no ABS, no airbags, no seat belts.
I was thinking of an endurance as well.
But as an additional option, I was wondering if something like our normal sprint races would work… but with slight modifications to throw in the team element. I can go on in detail on this if you want?
We’ve done this in the Shell sports club, and seems to be okay.
A 4 hour mega endurance sounds interesting. But what is your views if a team gets a fairly slow kart and another gets one which is 1 sec faster than the 2nd best kart?
