ParticipantWith Desmond’s success, I wonder if there’s a way of getting more people to try out the higher competition. I was thinking about two things that might encourage people from my-kart to join the KKS races:
1) Have a special sub-category of the seniors race from chassis/engines that are at least 3 years old (thereby reducing the cost)
2) Working a special deal for arrive/drive packages for a couple of people. I’m offering an arrive/drive for cadets/juniors for rm2000 including everything – including tyres and for older equipment could get close to that for a senior. Ppl with their own 125 that can do the maintenance themselves could do it a lot cheaper than that.Any views?

Participant
Then a few laps later, the leader ( Terence ) also packed up with a loose earth ignition wire…his mechanic should be shot!
Hey – I’m one of his mechanics (well, at least responsible for them). It was just plain bad luck – typical for Terence – we’ve never seen this problem before on the Leopard or Rotax – it’s a permanent connection so not screwed or anything and just worked it’s way off. For anyone alse, it would have happened in practice, heat or pre-final but for Terence, it had to wait until the final when he was in a dominant position 🙁

ParticipantYou can get a decent one for around 9-10K with a Rotax engine. 8K or under get you something which isn’t fast enough to be raced sensible.
Give me a call on 012 3149370 if you want details
