Diva,
Ok let say i wanna join mykart 125 event next month. So, do i only need to pay RM300 for the entire event like last week? Does it work in that way?
Sorry, Sabelt, I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that… But we do offer rental of karts for your race, which will be with Rotax Max Senior Engine (29.5hp) at RM600.00 for the whole day. Inclusive of fuel and of course the full support of our team of experienced mechanics. If you are interested, please let me know 🙂
This looks interesting … RM600. Includes the transportation of the kart to CK right when there is a mykart 125 event?

Participant
Guys,
Where are all the other drivers with their reviews? esp those hiring ones? YY? Ashraff? Pelumba Haram?
Sorry guys … i was busy with the J&W blog that i didnt realise you all want my opinion 😉
IMHO … i cannot complain about my kart. Only driver no good. Swiss Hutless has one of the biggest brake calipers i have seen amongst all the crappy rental karts i drove. So brakes were really good.
Since i do not have access to mechanics … i didnt do any setups except to play with tire pressure.
Prior to that i did tell AB that my kart was misfiring at top end and i think they just cleaned out the carbs.
The biggest drawback is the tyres. I really, really have to brake early. The longer the race, the more understeer i got. Was struggling most of the time around Turn 4 after the longest straight.
Engine held up and gave me good top end. Love those electric starters.
Would i use the kart again? … absolutely. Sure beats the rental K2 karts which i usually get. And i love those weights and the weight regulations in K1 which i dont find in K2 since i am one of the heaviest drivers around.
The K1 kart sure convince me that i should buy my own kart 🙂 But i have a beer budget.
Unfortunately i cannot afford RM500 every month 😉 May only select 1 or 2 guest appearance in the year 🙂

ParticipantI test drove the GTI today. It was incredible. Like BM5 says, it ask to be driven hard and fast! The gear change was real smooth and incredible. It automatically shift to lower gear when u slow down. Impressive.
The bucket seats was incredibly fitting. Just like a karting seat. Unfortunately not in leather. The sales guy was funny … he said “if leather, you slide around more!” … therefore fabric! yeah, sure. Why do they have leather bucket seats in M3?
Its very torque-y and have boast 280Nm at 1800rpm!!!
Unfortunately i was running out of time and my drive was muted due to time constraint and slow traffic on the North-South highway.
Although at rm225k (can add another Wald chip for additional rm15k), this car is one car worth buying cause its so much fun to drive and definitely better than the E90 320i.
I want to go back for more test drives! This time all the way up to Genting Highlands!!

ParticipantWell, i think looking at the recent response from my office colleagues, i think i can safely say i hv about 12 fellas. Which i was pleasantly surprised. You’ll get to see 8 of these fellas in the upcoming endurance race … Team Axon A and B.
Enduro is good. Built up team camaderie.
