It will be nice if this program could kick-off by next week. Get the kids to put in a few practises and soon they will be ready for regular K4 races.

Hopefully AP will prepare a few cadet karts with 80cc 2T engine for those around 11 yrs old above.
3) Currently, two 4-stroke cadet karts are available for rent at RM 10 per 10 mins and RM 20 for the parent wishing to accompany the child on a 80cc kart. This nice rental rates are valid for my-KART members only (currently those registered on this website until membership IDs are issued).
Correct me if I’m wrong, once the membership drive is up, only the paid members will benefit on this offer as only the paid members will get the membership card.
1) Our kids should take the first step of familiarisation and basic skills development with the slower 4 stroke engine cadet karts before upgrading to the faster 80 cc karts.

    2) Depending on the rate of progress of each child, changing to the faster 80 cc karts can be made on request. CK can prepare 80 cc cadet karts quite easily.
From the understanding is, once the kids are familiar with driving a kart, we should be able to organise a non-championship race during the my-KART monthly series for the kids with 2 categories (correct me if I’m wrong). 4-stroke for those below 10 with not much confidence yet and 2-stroke 80cc cadet karts for those who are confident enough.

Normally, what’s the minimum height and weight to join this cadet class carting… ? My son also interested with this programme.. Just wondering if he could fit in…
So long as his feet can reach the pedals……….
Just to add to this, Naza, Min, Tarmizi & myself saw a small kid which I believe is about 6-7 years old (with full racing suit) took out the CK cadet kart on his own with his dad following behind.
As you have mentioned that your son will be turning 6 very soon and very passionate about cars (and he has followed you & ffez on the lap with him holding the steering wheel at Manjung go-kart circuit), he should catch-up with the concept of driving very fast.
You should bring him down CK one day and let him sit in the cadet kart to gauge the distance of his feet to the pedal. Who knows, maybe with an additional cushion padding, he could be burning the track before you know what happened!
This will be a very good benefit to start off.

It will be great if it could kick off. My youngest son always feel left out as he is not tall enough to participate in the adult class chassis and he will be very happy to race with kids around his age.
8. Rizal Khalid’s – Aiman (10 yo)

Once we reach 10, we should be able to proceed rite? I am sure this will be more fun. This will be the grassroot karting!
Personally, I don’t think we need up to 10 participants to start such a class but it will be good if there are more than 10.

I feel that to have more than 6 is already good enough to get it started and the ball shall roll back to CK’s field to come-up with the number of karts.
4. Patrick’s (two boys?)
The elder boy is already in the adult class chassis. Remember he joined his 1st race a few weeks shy of his 14th birthday?

I don’t mind mind my younger son (12.5 years old and 145cm tall and in a dilemma stage) joining the kadet class race but he has basically outgrew the kadet chassis but slightly a little too short even for the shortest adult class chassis without any additional paddings. (He needs the additional cushion to be placed at his back to be able to press the brakes comfortably)

Kadet class chassis is good up to 140cm tall and adult class chassis is good if you are above 148cm tall, so how about the in-between the 2 heights lah?

How about providing the my-KART logo badge upon registration?

How about the discount on my-KART member’s participation fee for the sprint series & endurance as discussed during our TT?
but if we can put together a list of 20 kids below (say) 15 years old… then we should talk to AP.

15 years old maybe a little old to be in the kadet class chassis. The kadet chassis could accomodate up to the max of 12.5 years old only (that oso depending on the kid size).
our k4 (50 cc) series cannot start because I see only one cadet 50cc kart. To which he retorted ” I say my friend, there is nothing AP cannot provide to his customers if there is demand…..I will prepare 5 cadet karts 50cc within 2 days if mykart is really serious about this!”
Guess my-KART should look seriously into this avenue to discover young bloods into sport if AP is serious with his words.
