You can start by enquiring at City Karting Shah Alam.

Cost can be anything from 6K to 15K depending on age and model.

at the end of day, the moral of the story is to buy yourself a personal kart and practise. 🙁 $$$$$ 🙁

Just like Jules was saying, after 3000 laps, you will know what to do.
But the earlier incident in Women’s qualifying was far more serious. Kong Mun Yee of Sanofi-Aventis was hit from behind and thrown of her kart. She landed hard on the track. She was promptly put into the ambulance and immediately rushed to SJMC. This forced the withdrawal of Team Sanofi-Aventis from the Women’s final and Team Endurance involving ten drivers. All the while after the incident, her team mates kept me posted. I very much wanted to visit her but had to oversee the event. My partner visited her and confirmed that she had fractured her collarbone, lacerations on her face, injuries to her hip but what was worst was the injury to her L4 which would keep her hospitalised for a month.
Ms Kong’s incident disturbed me though. As karting organisers we cannot afford this sort of things happening. I wish her a swift recovery.
Glad to hear from Sam (740) that Ms. Kong is recovering well and in high spirit.

I found that I tend to brake much later than Huffiz. This affects my cornering balance and revs thru the corner and onto a good exit. You will note that Huffiz has an excellent exit speed, which makes him formidable on a wider kart performance variance.

I, on the other hand am a late braker. This is nothing to shout about, given for me it is easier to know when the kart and I am at the limits. I find it is very difficult for me to brake earlier as I have no reference whether I would be braking too early or at the right point for a good cornering speed. So I am a bit of a on or off type of driver. The problem with late braking is that it is so easy to get it wrong because I tend to be close to the limit… so you would often see me missing my apex when pushing hard. So when I miss apexes, I start going sideways and lose speed. I also will not be able to effectively keep my revs up. I am a bit of a Jacques Villeneuve style of driver. *he he*
I have the same problem too, I tend to brake too late and sometimes too early (consistency problem here).
I noticed that because sometimes I find I lose out in exit speed to the karter in front if I don’t get my entry speed correct.
Even Luen said that I brake too late when he was following behind me once before.

I have one question to ask, especially for those regulars at my-kart endurance race. What is the corner line at Sepang kart track? What I mean is braking point, turn-in point, apex point and cover out point. Is any reference points like marshal post for these ABC points? Yes, I understand you all can’t afford to release your tips for fear of losing your winning edge. I hope you can at least show some tips that all experts have already known, but beginners like me don’t know. Thanks.
the best is really track time. it is a bit difficult to describe in in text form….
Very true. The best form of learning a track is to spend a bit of track time to learn the braking point and apex.
Eventhough I have driven the Sepang track quite a few times, I still make mistakes at the Mickey Mouse turn 4 & 5. As you spend more track time, you will learn which corner you could use the power to power out and which corner you couldn’t.

I can still remember the first few times I took the 100cc out at CK track, I brake as early as the start/finish line and as my experience and confidence on the kart grew, my braking point gets shorter and shorter until it reach an optimal braking point for me.

    tot all trohpies were given
Nope, I believe the trophies were initially planned for the top 3 overall standings in the endurance event but decided to break it up into different categories for fairness at the last minute and therefore the shortness of trophies for the Mixed category.

what about d pictures? saw so many cameras there but no pictures?
Sam should be working on that after his return from Johor.
Sam, any lights chasing after your car in the estates?

I’m willing to buy the photos & video for the sake of charity.
