MemberBro Jules.
Was thinking having you as technical head. You can coordinate the technical regs and rules etc.
OSF – mesti laa. for Commercial unit.

Member
Fazz, which dealership do you want? Getting a BMW dealership will be very hard, and probably BMW Malaysia will want to see at least RM10 million investment for them to consider you.
Maybe a Yugo or Lada franchise will be cheaper :p
Don’t lar like dat. No market for Yugo or Lada.
RM10mln for BMW dealership. Phew! myKART’s got a long way to go.

Member
Yeah, imagine the final will be dominated by mykart racers……making it just like our monthly mykart race!
Unfortunately, I don’t think it is going to be so easy. The kart balloting is the key here. Because if you draw a bad kart you do not have any chance to make up for that. I remember Hafidz last year was very pissed to draw a crappy kart and could not qualify. His complaint was proven by the top qualifier drawing the same kart for the final. And despite starting on pole as the best qualifier, he promptly within one lap dropped to the back of the field.
Anyway – Thevan, could you let us know how much you had to pay given you were a 2004 participant as well?

Member
Its only round 1 but would like to see more mykarters show off their skills in the coming rounds. Suggest that mykarters to spread out over the coming rounds to increase the chance to be in the final five of each round. Happy racing!!!
I will probably give it another shot this year. Although this year the Sunway races will be fewer since they are going round the country.

Memberehoe – would like to get the gloves. Please let me know how to get it from you before Saturday 2 april.

Member
some how qualified to grand finals starting seventh on grid and finishing 2nd HEHE :)
Ha ha ha! Must be myKART experience! *lol*

Memberbutt2head – thanks.
I believe myKART will be unique and will not be based on any other organisation, except (well) Bernie Ecclestone’s Formula One Management (FOM).
Even then – it will be different. Because we shall be looking at the whole value chain from novice drivers to world class ones.

Member
Steward, can you ask Ujang to bring the headlights…oops, I mean Ms Hannah to grace our next race????
I am sure a few of us won’t mind taking her out on the yellow kart…….I am expert in taking newbies on yellow kart ;)
Good idea!
Steward – the reports are on this website, but I can convert to pass to Ujang. But would like to have some photos.
Anybody can bring digicams to take photos at round 3?

MemberRM200 for last year’s karters? can’t be right! Don’t mind karts being shit and all, just that it is too much of a lottery right now. And RM200 for what is essentially a gamble is a bit too much.
anyway – will check further. still envy those guys who got the Formula BMW test…

yah. who cares?

MemberWebber himself stated that Fisico would not make the corner… so why stay with him on the outside? Webber should learn that drivers do not always have to yield to him.

MemberGot my copy today.
I must say we got pretty good coverage! They even took my “press release” whole! Next time should send them some pics. Wasn’t too flattered by the pic of me having my “parachute being pulled” – *lol*
Also managed to get featured in the ZTH enduro article as well! But what is all that in comparison with the great headlights on page 95.
Anyway, Steward – aside from Ujang, do you know the other guys from Traffic who turned up? Would like to send a note of thanks.

Member
Thanks Fazz,
I’ll try to ask my company sports club whether there are interested to sent a team… or mayb more?
An assessment of how many drivers is sufficient, because we have not discussed on the number of drivers per team. The added idea to this event is to obtain sponsorship / donations from the companies… (no charity yet, cause we cannot legally collect money for charity).18 March 2005 at 1:20 am in reply to: Discuss: Inter Car Marque / Club / Company challenge (3rd Dec 2005) #1790TheFazz
Member
When is the best time to ask or sent out the invitation of participant team?
Siang Wei – I think firstly we need to see whether there is an appetite from the company teams / car clubs. The event is planned in Dec, so the invitation proper will be sent in the second half of 2005 so to have the urgency.

Member
I agree that a rev-limiter is best solution ( even if it’s for a private kart ownership ) but we will be on new ground here….at least for karts, it will be a 1st ( have not seen one in my Rotax…) and I am not aware if the car units can take the pounding, vibration, heat, water ( it’s exposed mah ) etc.
Would this not be a common feature for shifter karts? I know close to nothing about shifter karts, but there are shifter kart racing categories, and I am just wondering if rev-limiters are a standard feature. What about the Rotax RM1? How does it control over-revving? Or is the engine more robust to withstand abuse?
