are there any plans to have a few rounds at sepang?
or mykart is exclusively linked to CK?

had a short 20 minute fun kart at CK, i must admit the overall quality of the karts have dipped since i last played there (more than a year ago)
Hi all,

I just thought it was rather ackward for someone to die in a 4 stroke leisure kart, which purpose is to allow slow and safe ‘racing’ for the general public. The use of these karts should be so safe that anyone can turn up at a leisure karting track to have some fun without having to worry about such consequences.

I see 2 points that we can learn from this:

1) Perhaps the minimum driver’s protection gear should be increased, ie: make rib cage protector and neck brace mandatory just like helmets

2) Perhaps there was a weak design of the track or one of the safety components( eg: the sand embankment) of that track at that corner

Best Regards,

Brian.
another to add… and this applies to all tracks.
3) horribly maintained karts. how many of us have sat in karts with next to nothing brakes, bent chassis or misaligned axle that send u swinging the moment u hit the brakes. steering wheel that has screws that are protruding out in a dangerous manner and its ALL OK to drive around at 70kph without the front bumper absorbing any impact!!! screw your ankle and toes if u ever get caught in a collision.

i still remember almost falling into that big ass hole (entry turn 12) at shah alam track early last year…dunno whats the status now, but i remember the short term remedy was just filling it with tyres.

its really shallow to think that just because its a 9bhp kart, u are invincible and pretty much safe. well.. humans can expect trauma at a relatively low speed already. i remember another gokart death in melbourne last year, bear in mind the kart was a measly 6.5bhp and it was an indoor track.

i rather enjoy the thrills of driving slow in my car now.

should watch the rtm2 telecast instead, its from the itvf1 commentary. they are actually commenting from the trackside. i dont even tune to starsports anymore, its just narrating what we see on tv rather than behind the scene info like how itv does it. they have reporters running around the pit lane, so u will know whats happening there as well, such as problem in raikonnens car.

itv was saying kimi is kinda an over the edge guy when he is off track, quite outspoken actually when he is in the mood.

nice colours, but all the corners of the boxes are sharp edged.
would be more visually pleasing if the edges were smoothen out or have a simple radius to it. or something fancy like only the bottom right corner will be smoothen out with a little shadow.

do u know the rest of the entrace?

only went for the 2003 edition MME, that time its “just” the Amprex M3, but gosh the straight 6 sounded wicked n damn it was blazingly fast compared to the GT3s. now quite looking forward to this years… since its midnight 🙂
