[b]AS OF LATE EVENING TODAY, ONLY ONE K2 EXCLUSIVE KART FITTED WITH YAMAHA KT100 ENGINES WAS SIGHTED. APPARENTLY, THE ENGINE SOLE AGENT HAVE FAILED TO MEET ITS DELIVERY DATELINE TO CITY KARTING, AT LEAST, THAT WAS THE EXPLANATION GIVEN BY CK. HOWEVER, CK HAS NOT GIVEN UP HOPE AND HAS EXTENDED THE DATELINE TO TOMORROW MORNING FOR THE NEW ENGINES TO ARRIVE AND THEREFORE MAKING IT STILL POSSIBLE TO FEATURE IN ROUND 1.[/b][b]PLEASE HOWEVER TAKE NOTE THAT THE K2 RACE WILL TAKE PLACE REGARDLESS WHETHER THE K2 KARTS IN ITS EXCLUSIVE CONFIGURATION ARE READY IN TIME OR NOT (THE CURRENT 100CC KARTS WILL BE USE INSTEAD).[/b]

it sems to me that if i’m only in the standby list…i might not be able to race when i’m in KL 7 the race is full…i’ll be wasting my time flying to KL then..

That lamb mandi is delicious!…ooh la la!You are one of those race drivers in exile as it is for Patrick, Ruben,..etc. Except for rd 1 in Jan 2008, the grid was never full and there was never an instant when Patrick could’nt get a slot whenever he comes home. There is no point in registering for a full season unless you are determine to race in at least 8 rds. A driver who is absent for 2 consecutive races will lose his regular seat which will be taken up by a wait listed driver.
In my view, your best option is to put yourself on wait list for the round(s) you plan to come home in advance. This will help us to planned the start grid and predict in advance your chance of a seat which should help you to plan too.
Yes, dont forget to renew your membership. One way is to persuade Mark to stop over at Abu Dhabi, treat him a round of lamb mandi and pay him the membership fee (and the damage deposit). I know this man, he will like it!

That has to be the most bizarre and frustrating turn of events for the both of you and Ikhwan. I guess seeing the final is small consolation but your determination to get to La Conca deserve a bow! :up:…but 2009 is just round the corner. 🙂
