any updates on this?
CK is no longer the Sepang track operator and I saw Ah Boy is back busy at Shah Alam. A new operator has taken over. So all previous calculations were thrown out of the window and reset to zero. Back to the AP’s table once again…..as soon as possible.

Well done to Ede and Dass too and to their family, without which it would have been very very difficult!….(yeah, tell me about it!)

Hopefully MAM in particular realised that motorsports developement is typically a 2 to 7 years program for a young driver depending on the age he/she started. Meaning, my-kart’s role and image will be further enhanced with stronger support from MAM and CK. This in turn should attract “more parents/gaurdians” to get their kids involved in karting and motorsports in general. Its important for MAM to realise that budding drivers need a group like my-kart to “nurture” their talents to a reasonable level for almost nothing at the moment……but this may not last. So, MAM must support my-kart as a group apart from the special support to individual talents.

Politics talk: The nation and new talents can really benefit from my-kart!….for me its another form of giving back to the sports society…..for as long as its possible. 🙂

Looking forward to this idea taking off soon.
…..Maybe My-Kart can be a platform to the program by encouraging young potential karters to enter the sanction races so that they can qualify for at least the shoot out.
    …..
…Yes! thats one of my-kart’s major mission….encouraging and nurturing young karters.

I heard that Ikhwan qualified from the recently completed shoot-out. We will wait for his dad story, but congrats in advance…..another step forward.
An update or two.

Did my medical – RM 40

    Did my AAM Race License….RM100
Jules,
….the ASR states that the 125 Open Category requires drivers to have “Minimum of AAM National grade Licence”. I understand that new drivers will be given Novice grade licence, which is not the same. So how ar?
Guys,

Yes, this is a CLUB RACE CHAMPIONSHIP, much different to the more serious ( & expensive ) RMC races cos that runs on Mojos and is a 3 day event….

Again, the KKS races are ONE day event, run on the MRF ( RM250 per set ) tyres.

The timing for 2008 KKS Championship calendar is :

    27th April
    3rd August
    12th October
    19th November
    14th December

Pls note entries close typically at least ONE week before race.

I hope to see some of you here…..as realsitically, this is really the next most economical championship available at present after My-kart.

Will see if I can post the forms here….
…19th November is a Wednesday..??
I got these dates from the My-Kart Calendar. Can anyone confirm this?

    KKS Rd1 : 1-2 March
    KKS Rd2 : 5-6 April
    KKS Rd3 : 24-25 May
    KKS Rd4 : 21-22 June
    KKS Rd5 : 16-17 July
I believe those dates above are meant for KKS/RMC Championship. We are now talking about the “KKS club championship” which is a close championship only to KKS club members.

Unlucky for Ede who was not in the best of health and that 10 sec penalty but very strong races for Dass, Ikhwan and Mikko. Well done guys and Kota Bahru has passed , now for rd 3 at Elite. We will be there to cheer you guys in large numbers I am sure.
