Participant
Guys, Guys!
Can I have a show of hands who’s keen to join this race.
Reason is I have the SR, entry forms and also forms needed for the medical check and AAM license application.
1) Tarmizi???
2) Jules..in engine sourcing modeMy-Kart want to show a presence there? Banners, Buntings, volunteer crews? FAZZ and Azlan, a joint response appreciated.
Not sure which round yet, but lets have the forms first and get the medical and AAM license going.

Participant

Lan is absolutely right about the advantage of being of lighter weight, BUT, our newbie Ben who ways in at 93Kg took second place in K3 in both qualifying rounds, so skill is definately a parallel to weight.
BTW, keep eating AJK Makan, don’t worry about it!!
yup. ben shalders is no lightweight but did very well in K3. he was not off the podium in all 3 races.
…that kart he drove was perfect for his style…well done!

Bro Naza…are you sure you wrote it right. I just bough my self 125CC recently not event have enough time on it. Just don’t want to put down My Kart flag or being a back marker and disturbing others. :shy: :shy:
…now now brudder, I am dead sure about this! I have absolute confidence that you will be ready in time judging from your keen interest (you invested right?) biker’s racing experience, already driving like a croc from unofficial reports…hehehe! If you are’nt ready now, you will be by mid year or thereabout…. :up:naza
Participant
I have to find myself a kart..

ParticipantJules,
Assuming Tarmizi has yet to read this post, I can assume that he would be interested to drive and me assuming his manager’s role as it was for previous races.
I will get his KKS membership renewed if its already expired and medical for race licence. It would be another very visible branding step forward for my-kart if we can add Mumu / Fazz / Edwyn / Zainy / Luen / Mark to represent the my-kart Racing Team. To reduce costs, perhaps get 3 drivers in alternate rounds.
Others also can rent the arrive and drive packaged karts form CK or SH. It should be possible to nego with CK to plonk in a Max senior 125 engine into our K1 CRG karts and race.
One off costs:
KKS Membership : 200
AAM / MAM race licence : 250
Medical check : 200
Total : 750.00
Racing Costs:
MRF dry tyres : 2 sets at @ RM 350 (1 set – Sat practice @ set up/ 1 set – Sunday Race)
Wet tyres : 1 set
Mechanic support : 500
Transponder : 50
Track fee : 70
Total : 1670.00 (estimate as above may change a bit)Jules, please comment if any.

Participant
Naza,
So how is this event coming along? Is it possible?
Bro,
Its definitely possible, just a question of sorting out and finalising the additional cost on kart transport and SIC track fee charges with CK. It would just need a little more effort to sit down with AP this Saturday …..hehehe…hopefully someone can remind me and Fazz eh?naza
ParticipantDennis,
People in my-kart and I can go a whole day talking about these sort of incidences. In my-kart; we race very hard but with a big amount of emphasis on safety. Come to my-kart chicken wings sessions and we will talk at length about safety, precautions, racing ethics and support each other with reminders and friendly warnings!….all for the sake of reducing to the barest minimum such scary incidences! Believe me it is possible to race hard and yet relatively safe!naza
Participant…oledi visualising my-karters convoy to Melaka for round 10 or grand finale and finishing off with ikan bakar feast at Umbai where my other half came from…. π
….is that the best kart they got for the Ketua Menteri…malu lah!

Participant
well the kimi on the F1 track, seems like he is not doing very well.. but the kimirudin on the karting track doing very well π
…Woi!…hehehe! (awesome tyres laaa!)naza
Participant
Looks like our Kimirudin is not doing too good with the car having problem in Q1. Mulonso is doing alright with a slower car this year. But what happen to the son Tarkuma, not overtaking the dad. And our Luenson is also doing fine with his horse. Anyway, it’s qualifying, and first corner in Melbourne is always a dangerous one. So let’s see if all the cars are safe through the 1st corner..
Woi!…hahahahahaha!
…3 cornered fight tomorrow between drivers of McLaren, BMW and Ferrari for round 1, Melbourne. This is turning out to be a very interesting 2008 GP! π
