Participant
for the team i mean haha short of “m”
Ok luen, yes that 20 mins originally was for testing and qualifying includes whatever preparations and minor adjustments needed with the mechanics. Any kart change (if approved) must be done within this period.
…or you mean reduce the 20 mins testing session to just 5 mins?

Participant
Bro Naza, i think is better to have 5 minutes free practice for preparing the kart for the tea,
…..hmmmm? 😕

Participant
……. but in spec racing, everyone’s spose to be the same, if not the same, whether give advantage or not, it’s an illegal car.
..Yeah I guess, thats the bottom line ….rule are rules, too bad Jazeman!, hopefully this incident will be forgotten and gone.

Participant
It was a “gear selector spring” apparently that wasn’t spec according to star.
..so any idea how this “not to spec stupid spring” will give them an unfair advantage?…serious enough to exclude them.
Its amazing how the scrutineers can detect this “not to spec spring”.

ParticipantIts just mind boggling! The report said team Meritus committed the same infringement during the Indon leg and now in rd 22….but no details on actually what is was about……..what a shame when Meritus have a crop of very good drivers!

ParticipantAre you crazy?…better see a doctor quick!…but:

5. Team Tangerine (aunt Azlin’s!)
6. Team Jacko

Participant
total team weight will weigh before the race, ballast will mount on before qualifying.
1. weight add-on of 6kg if fall below par according as mentioned by Naza(before race)
2. penalty time will impose on final race result. (after race). Example, If 2 teams finish at same number of laps time penalty will impose deciding of results.
Luen,
For qualifying, the average of 4 drivers best lap is taken and the quickest gets pole position right? I was thinking that since we are going to use weight + time penalties, we can simply arrange the starting grid with the lightest at the back and the heaviest at the front loh!If that’s the case, the 20 minutes qualifying can be use instead for testing and warming up for all drivers.

Participant
is all about fair play.
The constant number define the average weight. Perhaps lower to 68?
I see no competition for a team that has total of has 50kg heavier than other
example team 1 55kgx4= 220kg
team 2 68kgx4= 272kgA more direct format proposed, discarding constant number; total weight divide by 4;
below par 272kg(if taking 68kg constant) to 263kg will be added 6kg max for shortage to par.
Team Further lower , 262 to 253kg(of every 10kg lower), will be added 6kg max + 5 sec penalty
any below than that 6kg added + 5 secs of every 10kg lowersumarise:
above 272kg.
271~262 + 6kg
261~252 + 6kg + 5 sec
251~242 + 6kg + 10 sec
241~232 + 6kg + 15 sec
231~222 + 6kg + 20 sec
221~212 + 6kg + 25 sec25 seconds is not much perhaps is just one corner away from turn 3 to turn 4. It is not taken much
advantage for the heavier team. If comparing team with 212 and 272 of total weight.please feedback
Luen,
The 10kg interval is too big I think. I propose we break them up into 5kg intervals as follows:above 272kg ~ No penalty
271~267 + 6kg + 0 sec
266~262 + 6kg + 5 sec
261~257 + 6kg + 10 sec
256~252 + 6kg + 15 sec
251~247 + 6kg + 20 sec
246~242 + 6kg + 25 sec
241~237 + 6kg + 30 sec
236~232 + 6kg + 35 sec
231~227 + 6kg + 40 sec
226~222 + 6kg + 45 sec
221~217 + 6kg + 50 sec
216~212 + 6kg + 55 secThe fairest way is to add ballast but CK dont have enough of these weights. Furthermore it would affect the bottom end drastically if too much weight is added. So the above is a compromised solution. The chances for the lightweight teams to win in the end will still be high even with the 6kg + time penalty added to it. The 212 – 216 kg category will likely be ladies or really skinny guys…..arrgh (had too much lomang- regret!)
Perhaps we can announce an overall winner plus a 68+ kg winner and a 45+ kg winner, similar to the my-kart normal sprint races?
