ParticipantSome corrections bro,
K2 Group C Qualifying (should be k2 Group A Q2) – Muhaymin finished P1 at half pace..Pah!
K2 Final A (I think?) (should be k2 group C, Q2) – P1 by Nazri Ng.
K2 Final B (I think ?) – Correct.

Participant

Ikhwan is 15 years old and is driving Swiss Hutless / Rotax Junior 125 kart. The junior max engine has less power (15 kW @ 8500 rpm, Torque – 17Nm) but the lower drivers’ weight will make up the slack against the Senior max power (21 kW @ 11500 rpm, Torque – 21 Nm). In this regard, and in addition to Jules suggestion above, I am suggesting that we also adopt the 2006 Max Challenge weight minimum for Juniors :
Weight:
Minimum of 145 kg including driver at all times.Ok or not?
agree to have minimum weights. but how does this reconcile with the minimum 160kg weight for seniors? setting the minimum weight is the tricky part. we want parity as far as possible. although it may be moot as winners’ ballast is added.
thoughts?
I see Ikhwan as a sole Junior max 125 entrant just running within a Senior 125 race. However his final position is of no significance to the seniors and he does not earn any points….perhaps just the glory and experience gained until there are more Junior entries to justify a separate race. If he wishes to earn the points, than the 160 kg minimum weight must be complied with plus change the engine to senior max…..in my view.naza
Participant
start him at the back for heat 1 and monitor his race conduct.
ParticipantFolks,
Young Ikhwan, son of Yazid has recently been practicing on his Swiss Hutless / 125 Junior Max kart . He is currently in the k3 series but has been on the 100 cc endurance and rental karts before.
Question : Do we allow him to participate in the forthcoming k1 race? This request is anticipated.

Participant
hmm….. let’s hope to get 6 then

neat, balance and practical
Yup, 6 drivers or nothing is one option….what say the others?naza
Participant

i think something we can do at the flagging system;
Propose : say 8 laps after k2 , control flags chequeur flag together with yellow flag; while k1 will have 4 laps remainding on the track till 12 ends with a chequer flag.
P/s please do not put K1 at halt again 🙁
———————————-
neat, balance and practical
Not a good idea. The best is still start and finish together. Later havoc when k2 class slowin down while k1 category still racing hence would slow them down..
Yup, agree. Its going to be risky when some are slowing down while some are going at break neck speed.naza

neat, balance and practical
Yes, the flagging system should work but must be sure that the drivers clearly understand it.

Participant
good idea but u must at least confirm K1 before event since some drivers will need to hire and karts need time to prepare.
