Participant
Naza – another thing, I think we should place some cones at K1 braking points, since this will be the first time all of us race CCW.
If you can get a slot with CK for the CCW testing, let me know, I’m willing to take the risk and work out the braking points…hehehe
Can oso but Fazz will not follow your marker mah!

ParticipantInitial thoughts:
A- Private kart powered by Senior 125 Max engine on hard compound (JYM)
B- Private kart powered by Senior 125 Max on medium tyres (ex. Mojo)
C- Private kart powered by Junior 125 Max on hard compounds (JYM)
Those are some of the options the privateer may be thinking to choose from. So lets hear from other owners what is on their mind if the private kart join the K1 race.
Lap Chart Person – Two persons, one each for the CRGs and private karts (if option A or B). The Senior Max karter will lapped the Junior Max karter and maybe using time transponder may be required.

ParticipantWe already know whats in store in the ccw direction on the 100cc for a few years but there’s no harm testing the ccw direction with actual runs on the CRGs. I am expecting some confirmation from AP regarding three additional CRGs for practice / spare to be ready this 16th or 17th.

ParticipantThanks Edwyn,
…..for some very useful observations / suggestions for my-kart to take action on soon. I cant say very much on the K2 / K3 situation as I was full time on the K1…pretty exhausted!
My no.1 concern for the K1 races at the moment is to reduce the time taken for adding / subtracting of the ballast.
..but more important than the above is to get all K1 drivers to behave as though those CRG karts belong to them and accept that the CK mechanics will not be able to do everything we asked in time. Therefore, simple pre race checks on items such as radiator water level, drive chain tension, tyre pressure and installing or uninstalling ballast will definitely help in reducing pressure and turn around time.
Anyway, gotta think deeper about this…..sleeeeepy.

Participant
MEMBERSHIP UPDATE: By the way, since Dec 2007, we have had 15 new members paid up to join Kelab my-KART Selangor, of which 8 members signed up today during Round 1.
Naza, Mark and I are working to ensure all the forms are submitted and cards produced asap.
Lan,
Stuart Gibbs was the latest applicant.naza
ParticipantI think your suggestion to run K1 later than K2 and K3 is a good solution that we should explore deeper.

ParticipantFolks,
Last Wednesday’s testing was on 5 CRG karts and it was very useful to have a few drivers to cross check our findings and observations with each other. For the record, note the following:Date : Wed 19th Dec 2007
Drivers: Mark, Azlan, Yusnee, Luen, Tarmizi, Naza, Zul, Mumu
Observers: Wei Li, HafizahThe following karts (chassis No.) were tested:
4642 – not ready for testing
4702 – ok, almost perfect
4750 – ok but seat is too small
4688 – tight seat, low bottom end
4568 – ok medium seat,
4651 – ok, seat too small
4586 – ok, pedals require adjustmentIt was decided that kart 4702 will be used as reference for CK to tune other karts.
Seat Size – Size 4 (medium) will be use for all karts. Smaller drivers will be required to use padding. CK too advise.Gear Ratio : pinion gear – 12 / Drive gear – 79.

Participant
are there any plans to have a few rounds at sepang?
….if all of us are willing to foot the transport bill for karts to Sepang, than a few rounds at Sepang can be a reality. We will know soon how much that extra cost is.naza
ParticipantIt was 280 kg for 4 drivers in the last 2 hour enduro. So I reckon it should be 140 kg for 2 drivers….yes ah Luen?
(pssst…whats your weight forecast come Feb 16th)

Participant
Folks,
The Wed 19th CRG testing date is still looking good and there could be 5 or more units to be tested. So I would suggest a few if not more my-kart test drivers to do driving duties on that day.Volunteers please:
1. Tarmizi (exam sudah habis!)
2. Naza (only if I could houdini myself from work at 1 pm)
3. Azlan Houdini – 3pm can?
4.
5.
I gather that most of us can possibly squeeze in some time at the CK track after work at about 5.30 pm onwards?. Let me ask AP whether he can delay it till that late.

ParticipantFolks,
Lets drop the private kart idea and like Fazz said keep it open for now.….can proceed lah!.
17 December 2007 at 12:55 pm in reply to: KELAB my-KART SELANGOR: MINUTES OF GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING, 15th December 2007 #6402naza
ParticipantAzlan / Folks,
If we all agree to allow privately owned karts to participate in the K1 series, there are only a few rules as per your minutes that would require amendment as shown in bold italics below:2.1 The K1 series will use the new 125cc CRG/PRD karts from City Karting. Privately owned 125cc Rotax Senior Max and Junior Max are allowed to race together but the Senior Max 125 will be treated as a separate class to the Junior Max 125.
2.4 The cost of participation is RM190 per round for eligible participants. Private kart participants will pay all cost of participation directly with the track operator (CK).
3.2 Participants including owners of private karts must pay a refundable deposit of RM600 prior to joining a K1 event.
So, if everyone is happy with the above, lets proceed to broadcast it.
16 December 2007 at 4:16 pm in reply to: KELAB my-KART SELANGOR: MINUTES OF GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING, 15th December 2007 #6396naza
ParticipantMr President & Committee members,
With only three weekeneds left before round 1 2008, we need to broadcast the appropriate parts of the minutes to the members now if everyone is happy with it. The K1 participants desperately want to know the details to confirm their participation and we need to know their response in order for us to finalise the technical details (ballast, seating size and Position, tests, etc)with CK.Btw, it would be convenient if participants can just transfer the RM600 deposit direct to the Club’s account (or any other proxy account) ahead of raceday.
