Assigning drivers to specific karts in K1?…I support this concept as it is the right way to learn and be responsible for the kart’s condition.

We have limited K1 karts (10 units) but I dont agree with the idea of a back up driver to fill in an absentee. If necessary split the drivers into groups just the way we did for the K2 and K3 all along.

I am thinking of assigning 2 drivers to each kart which will make easier for us to work on variations in ballast, seat size, seat position and kart setup. We will need to work on this with CK on how best to work this out as these karts belong to them.

….a “relegation system” similar to football? I dont quite get the rationale behind this idea. In motorsports, drivers fought to get to the top formula and than retire,……no such thing as being relegated! unless they personally opt to leave to a lower / different category on their own request.

Folks,
Quite a few have their own karts with Senior Max 125 engines. Some of the owners are also registered my-kart club members. They might apply to run together in the 2008 K1 races.

I would allow it for the following reasons:

1. Treat it like a two in one race ie the formula senior max and the formula junior max. Also, this would avoid the need to create another category and keep our current target to finish the day by 1.30 pm or so.

2. More excitement for spectators as the Junior max driver will not be too far behind.

3. The more the merrier?

The Wed 19th CRG testing date is still looking good and there could be 5 or more units to be tested. So I would suggest a few if not more my-kart [i][b]test drivers[/b][/i] to do driving duties on that day.

Looked pretty much captured the esssence and what we’ve agreed. However, unless I have missed somewhere in the text, I dont see anywhere about the eligibility of current K2 registered club drivers being addressed? Perhaps you meant to cover this within the paragraph below:

I met AP this afternoon and he informed that 9 units CRG karts would be ready by next weekened for testing. If you dont mind, I took the liberty to draft sort of an email to record our points of discussion and agreements with regards to rental of the CRG karts. If you recalled AP requested this to be send to Wan Shin. Please comment and amend as appropriate:

We met with Ah Piau on December 1st 2007 to discussed the CRG + JMax 125 rental for My-kart’s Drivers Championship Series 2008. He requested that we write to you what was discussed and agreed at the end of the discussion. The following were details of the discussion and points of agreement:

Attendees : Ah Piau, Fazz, Luen, Edwyn, Muhaymin, Naza.
(Muhaymin and Edwyn left midway)
Date : Dec 1st 2007
Venue: CK’s office
Time : 3.00 pm approx.
Subject : Finalisation of CRG/125 JMax prices for my-kart / my-kart members.

Point 1 :
My-kart sprint races – RM 180.00 (based on my-kart current race format)
Status : agreed by both parties

Point 2 :
My-kart endurance race – further discussion required at a later date.
Status : not yet finalized

Point 3 :
Practice sessions :
RM 400.00 for 5 session voucher.
RM 90.00 per session for walk-in (no voucher).
