Participant

Naza boss, how much total charge for bringing own kart from CK to sepang ah? any figure?
not sure what’s the going rate for transport…..n fuel. The rate depends on how many want to share cost for the transport truck…..
BUT for sure u pay RM70 just to practise at Sepang and u pay SIC guys on the track….
Basically total cost will comprise the following elements:
1. Track fee to SIC – RM70 (sifu is sure about this)
2. CK’s truck rent – RM50… as Sifu said, depends on how many is sharing it.
3. Mechanic support – RM 180.00Total : RM300….will reconfirm with AB tomorrow….ok confirmed!
Luen, you want to try Sepang ar?……. 🙂

Participant
…..Ikhwan being a rookie now understand what it takes to drive on a track with so much grip and highly competitive environment.
…….Next he will be participating in AKOC in Macau next week and end the season. I hope he will apply what he has learned from the world finals there as the track condition maybe similar.
I believe he has learned much and will do better in Macau. No pain no gain!

Participant
if my-kart sanction to MAM, wonder if driver of other nationality is allowable? hmmmm….??
As I understand it, MAM is or will be affiliated to AAM. This understanding or agreement was brokered by FIA in Paris recently. Secondly, it was agreed that AAM will retain its role as FIA’s only Malaysian Motosport body authorising International events and MAM over National events. Therefore, if my-kart is affiliated to MAM, than it will just be up to National level regardless whether the driver is local or foreign. I stand to be corrected.

ParticipantLuen / Folks, just to record key points of discussion with AP this afternoon before we forget (speaking for myself):
Attendees : Fazz, Luen, Edwyn, Mumu, Naza.(Mumu and Edwyn left midway)
Date : Dec 1st 2007
Venue: CK’s office
Time : 3.00 pm approx.
Subject : Finalisation of CRG/125 JMax prices for my-kart / my-kart members.Point 1 : my-kart sprint races; RM 180.00 (based on my-kart race format)
Note: current k2/100cc charge is RM160 (for members), so maybe charge RM190.00 for the k1/CRG/125 category…?Point 2 : my-kart enduro : RM 700 – 800 for 2 hours track time…….someone please confirm this..!I believe we may want to propose CK to charge as for previous 100cc enduro?
Point 3 : my-kart members practice sessions, RM RM 400.00 for 5 session voucher. RM 90.00 per session for walk-in (no voucher).
Note: AP proposed that for practices, 125 Senior Max to be use as well. My-kart has no objections to this.AP requested for my-kart (Luen?) to write to wan shin an email to record what was agreed above. (Selamat Pengantin Baru to Wan Shin /Ah Cheong!..)

Participant
Are we planning to have to run 2 classes?
80cc & 125cc?
Yeah dude, we can start thinking about this but running enduros with 125s is going to cost a bit. Anyway, I will start hounding AP on the cost of running the 125s for enduros as well as cost for renting them for practice sessions as well.

Participant

The Minister for Youth and Sports Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Azalina Dato’ Othman Said announced today that the Ministry of Finance has approved a duty and tax exempt scheme for vehicles (go karts, cars and bikes) used exclusively for motor sport competition.
i am a little wary about the phrase “used exclusively for motor sport competition”. what if you wish to use them for recreation?
Right bro, I am even more concern about the following statement extracted from MAM’s website which says:
“Importers and local manufacturers are allowed to import and sell the above items duty/excise/sales tax free directly to competitors and teams holding valid MAM licenses”. So, what if you do not hold one or already has one issued by AAM?

ParticipantDone! Feb 16th 2008, after CNY, is booked for my-kart MAKHLUK BESI Race. Luen, you heard Wan Shin said “Yes” to the date.
Hi Vietnam dude!, you better practice in Ho Chi Minh city or somewhere in Vietnam because about a dozen Manusia Besi my-kart, including two females did a 50 minute non-stop trail run just hours ago. Later some of them said : ” its not so bad laa…don’t mind making it 2 hours!”
PS: these guys are not buayas, they are more closer to T-Rex!

Participant

I was suppose to follow up with Wan Shin to find out whether Feb 16 can be booked for this race.
Confirmed?
Wan Shin did not respond to my sms’s, probably she has a coming marriage plans keeping her busy…but I will pursue the matter tomorrow with Luen in tow.
