Participant
CK quoted RM220 per session + 6 endurance race of RM640 each kart. Is commitment to CK we run total 16 races of each K1 CRG.
If excluded Endurance race, cost will be
In summary :
(RM220 x 10) + (RM640 x 6) / 10(normal series) = RM604 each 125cc CRG per run.
Its about time, we revive the subject with CK (if he is still open to it). Perhaps we can try to do some talks right after the Rd 7 race?

Participant
ok thanks.
reason I asked is cos Aaron told me his father wanted to propose something to MyKart and hence I wanted to know if a deal with AP was signed…..
will keep all posted.
cheers.
…Jules, an alternative proposal by anyone is welcome for the sake of my-kart members in the long term. No, no deals signed yet with CK.naza
ParticipantVery tough outing for Ikhwan from the sound of it but a lot better of from the experience gained I am sure. Hopefully, better fortune is waiting for him and his fellow drivers in the forthcoming home venue at Sepang and you can bet on the most vociferous support from my-karters.

Participant

Plug in ur VHS into the pc if u have a video capture card. then capture using video editing program(i.e ulead videostudio) as if u’re trying to copy a cassette on tv.
i neither have a VHS player (what is that anyway? 🙂 ), nor a video capture card + software.
…Bring the VHS tape and player to round 7 and play it for all to see, provided someone is kind enough to lend his VHS player. I can cucuk CK to borrow their TV.

Participant

Jules, as of now K1 is privateer entry. I belive Bro Naza has had various discussions with CK regarding the CRG’s but various factors including cost of running rental K1 have been the main hurdles.
yup. the main hurdles are cost and minimum commitment as to races run on these machines. CK wants 6 enduros on these machines in addition to 10 sprint events. given the low response to the 100cc enduros, we believe that this is the main hurdle. the 10 sprint events, may not be a problem… although it is back to the cost factor.
naza, luen – feel free to add / comment.
If I recalled correctly (Luen please comfirm), CK handed us a sort of response on paper (where is it ah?) which we have immediate concerns on the rental prices quoted. The prices were not 160.00 as was originally stated by AP, so that really got us back pedalling to our cornor. Than came the June 16th happening which than put this matter as second priority.
What we need to do is to revive this matter with CK again . Shall we?

Feeling very jealous lah (in Vietnamese = cam thay ghen ghen)
Participant
actually, the price issue is not the main concern it seems. the RM350 per team for one hour compares well with the RM300 for 80cc for one hour (and a bit) at CK…
so the issues seems to be the faster karts…. so agree on running 80cc… but Kartquest does not have 80cc karts.
Well, Kartquest have 2 stroke 80cc karts but limited to 5 units at the moment. So , looked like there won’t be any endurances on 80cc karts at the Elite track for a while fellas!

Ibrahim mentioned about 2 stroke 80cc for rent yesterday and Tarmizi with his friends did also saw them. Let us check it out this Saturday as some mykarters will be doing chicken wing runs for track familiarisation.Alternatively, if agreeable, run on the 4 stroker 250cc……well, not really that bad…except for the initial acceleration…..remember the Pan Global Alex Yoong series?
…will get more info….coming boss?

Participant

I just wanna be prepared though I really try out the K2 event. I wanna go to the circuit on next tuesday to maybe tryout double session with a 100cc kart. Hopefully can meet a member there who could vouch for me lol! 🙂
mmmmm, sounds like a mid week practice session could be about to erupt. just so happens I have a meeting about a 10 minutes drive away from the track on that day!! It would be rude not to stop by, wouldn’t it, Naza, Mizi, Azlin and the usual suspects who often “happen to pass by midweek”
….GULP!…..”the happen to pass by midweek and it would be very very rude indeed not to stop by” ….is getting stronger especially when this weekened at CK is no longer possible. Got to check out this rayrossi guy….could be another buaya…..waiting to NGAP us….hehehe!naza
ParticipantGood work by Mikko and our rookies. A podium finish in international meetings is reason for Malaysians to take pride of. Better things are expected in Surabaya and my-kart will be solidly behind our young guns to do better.
…amd thanks for that complement to my-kart…. 🙂

Participant
and if you’re a wifey (and ur hubby is a member) you’ll only have to pay RM10 for the membership onlyyy… 😉
