Participant..and plus if you are a daddy or mommy, and have kids about 9 to 11 years, hiring a cadet kart (65cc…I believe)bundled with a 80cc kart for you to escort or teach them will only cost you RM30 (10 +20). Now, you cannot smell that if you are not a registered my-kart member.

Participant
Not quite understand this part
“125cc INDIVIDUAL RACE
Year Rate Format
2007 RM 220 / head Heat 1 – 8 laps
2008 RM 220 /head Heat 2 – 8 laps
2009 RM 200 /head Final – 8 laps”was that saying year 1 or heat 1 that cost RM220 at the very first line?
My personal opinion that RM220 per head is doable. 10 drivers per race and 6 endurance races 125cc will be the hard part.
Luen,You are right bro, the way it’s written is unclear….need to clarify
RM210 per kart was our target charge to members….so we need to keep CK at RM 160 to RM 170….other wise its tough to attract members into K1.
OR as you said, we postpone it and run our own K1 race with private karts….just like we did on a few occasions.

No.. this year if possible! Otherwise you spend the first few races learning and come end of the year when you just miss out on 1st/2nd/3rd in the championship you would’ve wished you had done a few rounds the year before. 🙂 It’s a really good idea to take part in the last few races of a year and you’ll be real ready then for the new season. Usually last few rounds have a few less drivers as well so it’s less hectic on-track so good to learn.
Agreed Mikko and all the best to you and the others from Malaysia.naza
Participant
I sure hope so. So does the team, having the same opinion and confidence. Let’s see how he and the team does in India. All the juniors, Ikhwan, Hasif & Rahimi are going on the 6th June. The race shall be in Kolhapur India, south of Mumbai. Last I heard there’ll be about 10 drivers going and majority are the Juniors.
Bro,
We will be rooting and hooting for our juniors, so fly the Malaysian flag and show what the bolehland racers can do. 10 drivers?…who are they?So Desmond, next year ok?

Participant
Thanks guys.Infact there were 2 other my-karters that are involved in the Rotax Max Challenge i.e. Masedenal Ali and Wan Dassila. Masedenal did well in the 1st race where he came 2nd and 7th in Kelantan.
I will update you guys on India…
…Excellent work by Ede in his debut in round 1….very very good indeed for a rookie and so is for Wan Dassila. What’s important here is the experience of learning to protect yourself and the engine to last from qualifying till the Final. All mykarters will be cheering for you when you carry the Bolehland flag in India…..am..mak! 🙂 🙂Interesting point here: Race in my-kart series and you will likely be frontrunners in other races.

ParticipantThis young man will go far with support and encouragement. We saw his talent during his tenure in my-kart K3 races and its no surprise to me that he was soon taken in by Team Swiss Hutless Malaysia. Yazid, its payback time… 🙂

ParticipantIt is quite a BIG DEAL when you enter AAM sanctioned races like Malaysian Rotax Max Championship, ROK, etc. The race scrutineers may not allow you to race if you are not wearing homologated apparels.
FIA-CIK Hologation Information
1) What is the FIA-CIK?
The FIA-CIK is the governing body of world motor sport and the representative of more than 100 million motoring consumers
worldwide. The FIA-CIK is the governing body for most major karting events worldwide. It could be viewed as the NASCAR of the Go Kart world. FIA-CIK sets rules for every aspects of Go kart racing from racing suits, bodywork, engines, carburators, and even has influence in track configurations.2) What does it mean to be FIA-CIK homologated?
In order for a manufacture to have a Homologation label on their suit a serious of tests must be performed by FIA-CIK
laboratories financed by the manufacture of the suit. Tests are carried out on the resistance to abrasion, resistance to heat of up to 100°C, and the performance of the suit on a driver during a racing accident “if sleeves roll up exposing skin to the open”. All of the tests are performed in accordance to FIA-CIK regulations and are all identical for all manufacturers.3) What do the different levels of homologation mean?
Level 1 homologation: leisure competition. Aimed at ensuring a certain degree of protection and whose weight and ergonomic shortcomings connected with its use are as reduced as possible. Level 1 is allowed at club, state, national competitions.
Level 2 homologation: National competition. Ensuring a moderate degree of protection, more than that required for level 1.
However, this degree of protection has the disadvantage of being heavy and of featuring support systems like (elbow padding, knee padding, heat guards). Level 1 and 2 are currently allowed for all FIA-CIK national competition. Level 1 is not allowed for international competition, which is a highly competitive racing group. Level 2 is only allowed for international competition. FIA-CIK homologations last five years with a mandatory re-test on the third year. What does CIK 2001/18 means?
2001 is the year it was homologated and 18 is the homologation number. So how come its not listed in the CIK homologated list? ….unless its fictitious. Ask the MORAC office for confirmation than.naza
ParticipantNight race in Sepang too…I actually believe that more Malaysians will go to the race if its at night cos its so much cooooleeerr!….and those open hill slopes will see much more spectators with umbrellas on standby.

I’m not sure if that turn is called turn 10 or turn 11. Turn 10 if the right kink on the long straight is not taken into account.
Mikko marked it as T10 (right kink is not worth calling a cornor apparently) and this is assuming you run clockwise starting on the straight smack in front of the watch tower.naza
Participant

don’t forget to wear your racing suit with a big MY-KART patch! 😉

💡 and if you are from Team TeleVAS jgn lupa to add the TeleVAS logo too :OBTW, Desmond, I heard there will be casting for “ubat sakit perut” soon, so if you miss this one hang in there man!

Participant

Perhaps a discount can be given for MyKart members who commit to the CRG/PRD for an X number of races (prepaid scheme)? Say RM220 for 3 races prepaid and RM200 for 5 races prepaid. This would help in getting the minimum numbers required.
good idea. would put this as part of the deal.
I strongly recommend that we put this deal through!
Again I sokong this idea. Also, we have to consider that at this moment the number of registered club members eligibe for k1 drive is only nine (9)…since we are thinking to restrict this kart to club members only. We dont want to end up with fewer drivers due to the higher cost….naza
Participant
Financial report? I got plenty of time in the next 2 days…what format huh?
…dont really know bro but I guess the normal Income / Expenditure columns with some explanatory notes to clarify certain items. Wei Li may have a better idea..?naza
Participant
no problems. we should have a quick one to re-establish the roles. now, the only thing is the constitution prescribes a few roles already. i am just wondering whether it will be compatible with the ones we’ve previously defined.
the other items on the agenda may be –
a. decision and way forward re the CRG/PRD offer
b. my-KART launch updatesfazz
Exactly folks,
We need to “realign” roles of people prescribed prior to the recent AGM and the roles spelt out in the current constitution (clause 18.6)namely:1. AJK Kewangan
2. AJK Pembangunan (Development)
3. AJK Teknikal
4. AJK Pemilihan
5. AJK Pertandingan
6. AJK TatatertibWe can adjust to suit if the above is not suitable.
Btw, I was wrong in stating that we need to have a MC meeting within a month instead we need to submit only the financial report within 30 days after the AGM…that I will do.
